Location & Accessibility
I work from a privately accessed ground floor consulting room with off-street parking if required in Willesden London NW6. Nearby public transport includes Willesden Green (Jubilee Line); Brondesbury Park (Overland); and busses on Sidmouth Road, Brondesbury Road and Willesden Lane. I also provide consultations by telephone, What’s App and Face-Time.
Time & Cost
Therapy Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually once a week at the same agreed time. It is also possible to meet more frequently if we feel that would be helpful. I charge £70 per session, including the initial session, but after we’ve met and if we decide not to proceed, I do not charge for this. I am committed to providing accessible therapy and offer some concessionary places and reduced fees for people on lower incomes.
Individual Supervision sessions are also 50 minutes and I charge £70, however I am happy to discuss sliding rates for recent graduates/students or group rates if that is possible to arrange.
NB I am currently unable to offer therapy to students on the Minster Centre training in psychotherapy because of my commitments there as a clinical supervisor.
How to proceed
If we agree after the initial meeting that counselling is the most appropriate therapy, we would discuss the length of the contract in advance, which would usually be between 6 & 12 sessions. We would then agree any possible breaks over that period and any unplanned missed sessions would be paid for in full.
If long term psychotherapy feels more appropriate then the contract is called ‘open-ended’. We would meet every week with breaks planned in advance to coincide with the school holiday calendar. I charge £10 for sessions cancelled in advance beyond our agreed breaks, and will charge for the full session if cancelled on the day and we are unable to re-schedule.
